On today’s Up To Speed, we turn the spotlight on innovation:

Frontline team adds to their mobile menagerie of marvelous mammalian monikers. 🐁🐄🐎🐐[❓]

Our frontline team is once again showing off a remarkable new solution, and this little contraption is just as amazing as our existing stable of mobile, animal-named solutions like the COW (Cell On Wheels) COLT (Cell On Light Truck) or Mouse (Micro Outdoor Use Satellite Equipment).

Say hello to the Reduced Ambulatory Contraption Creating Our Own Network, or RACCOON. This amazing gear is lightweight and battery-powered to maximize portability and provides the team with the ability to maneuver into spaces that would otherwise be too tight to reach unassisted.

Checking in with our robo-dogs🤖

A recent episode featured our Verizon response teams deploying a robotic dog during some training exercises with the military. Man’s best mechanical friend takes the lead when a situation becomes too dangerous for their human counterparts.

But specialized equipment requires special care. That’s why we took a peek behind the scenes to find out what happens during downtime to ensure they are ready for deployment when they are needed most.

Check out the video: [01:10] Watch as we catch up with Jason Volk, Technical Operations Manager for the Executive Briefing Program, and learn the secret to caring for this specialized equipment.
