Winter is still 11 days away, but apparently Mother Nature didn’t get the memo as two consecutive storm systems have ravaged much of the country over the past week.

Verizon’s wireline network is performing well overall through these severe storms, delivering phone, Internet and video traffic to several million consumers and businesses, as well as first responders and government agencies as they respond to the snow, sleet and freezing rain.

The number of repair appointments is running higher than normal in Texas and some areas along the East Coast. Verizon technicians are on the job and out in the elements where roads are passable and weather conditions permit to restore service.
