Verizon’s Florida operations team spent last weekend at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay encouraging people to adopt pets – and we succeeded in a big way.

The effort was led by Florida region president Jeanmarie Milla and the Verizon events team. The Verizon Foundation helped fuel the race with a $10,000 grant and the partnership produced 100 adoptions over the weekend – more than a normal weekend for certain!

“This was an incredible experience for Verizon and we were honored to be a part of so many happy endings,” said Milla. “The Verizon Foundation commitment was just icing on top of this heartwarming weekend. We hope to do it again.”
